We choose this cruise because the dates coincided with our work/vacation schedules, and included Half Moon Cay which is just beautiful. We were a bit reluctant based on ship class, age of ship, and some recent negative reviews. However, we had an excellent time. We found this ship well cared for and clean, the service was superb, food was pretty good, and the hard working staff was friendly and helpful. Mat the cruise director has SO MUCH energy and just keeps things hopping! Don't miss the nightly music trivia in the lobby lounge...So much fun. We also enjoyed the quieter space of the Serenity deck tucked away at the back of the ship, where we could relax and read. We had a balcony room, and I must say the layout was puzzling... This was our 6th cruise in recent years and this cabin seemed pretty small compared to others. Space was tight. We managed fine since we tend to spend very little time in the cabin, but we had to coordinate showers, etc. Embarkation was easy... but stick to the time on your boarding pass, as you will not be allowed to proceed earlier. There was a bit of delay with passengers getting off the previous sailing, as they were still off-loading after 11:00am... meanwhile the holding area was full of passengers waiting to board. But things moved fairly quickly, and we were on board by few minutes after noon. We had flights into/out of Fort Lauderdale and used SAS transportation. It was our first time using SAS, and they were an excellent choice... would highly recommend them. Our flight home was early, so we chose self-assist and disembarked with no line by 8:00. All in all we had great time, and I would advise anyone pondering to fear not: book Sensation! Just don't sweat the small stuff. One final point, we noticed A LOT of 20 and 30-somethings, and A LOT of first time (blue card) passengers. Made us feel little old... but those youngsters were having a grand time and made us feel just a bit younger for couple days, lol... we are in mid-50's.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin 8C E214
Balcony Cabin was OK... Layout seemed really tight. Barely enough room for the two of us to get ready for dinner at same time... We found ourselves playing human tetris to move about the cabin. Not a huge deal, since we spend very little time in cabin.
