This was our first transatlantic cruise, for my husband and myself, but certainly not our last. Sailing on such a beautiful ship as the Equinox was a pleasure. Embarkation was easy, and being greeted with a glass of champagne on boarding the ship was a nice touch.
Our interior cabin was as spacious as the balcony rooms we glimpsed. Even though our cabin was quite forward and on the 9th deck, with the first three days of choppy seas, the ship's stabilizers held the ship steady, and we were able to sleep comfortably, with no queasiness.
The menus in the main dining room provided a nice variety of choices. After the second day, I commented to the waiters that the food was too salty. Immediately, the maitre'd appeared and assured me that , every evening, he would provide me with the next day's menu, and I could choose my meal, to be cooked salt-free. He was true to his word. We were so very impressed with him, with the wait staff, and indeed, all of the crew.
Very comfortable and clean. Stateroom attendants did a great job.
Interesting town.
Lack of restroom breaks made many uncomfortable.
