this cruise was chosen for the ports of call, time of the year and past experience with Viking. We can't say enough about this cruise; it was amazing! The service was impeccable; staff went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and had what we need. One staff even provided some cough drops for a sick co-traveler. The food was great and we loved that everything was included-room service, specialty restaurants, tours. The spa area was fun and unique, especially the snow cave-it snowed!the entertainment was top notch and varied. The local ones that were brought on board, especially the opera singers, really added to the tours and the cities.

This ship provides all balcony cabins, which was nice, and the weather was warm enough to enjoy them. Cabins had comfortable seating for 2 with a table big enough to put ones order from room service. The bathroom- bigger than any other cruise ship and wonderful amenities.

Most ports were easily accessible but we did opt for a private tour in Florance and wish we would have done so in Rome as well as the included tours tried to do too much. we really enjoyed the tour in Venice and it was even more fascinating as we had taken a gondola ride the night before and got to see the flooding the next morning.
