Celebrity Silhouette Cruise Review by sallygreen1940
- Sail Date: April 2016
- Destination: Baltic Sea
We embarked from Southampton and it was all very easy. The queues weren't bad at all.
The safety demonstration was simple to follow and we didn't even have to go on deck.
Our room Aft-View Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony for more lounge-around room, two twin beds (convert to a king) and a single sofa bed, sofa and coffee table, desk and seat, and a full bathroom with shower.
The food on board was brilliant especially the Grand Curve restaurant. We had wonderful food. The ocean view cafe was also good for lunch.
We liked the Spa, pool and gym. My wife went to a wonderful yoga class.
We liked the extra events put on by Paul the cruise director. We went to the 70's night in the Atrium.
We thought the entertainment was exceptional especially the main theatre. we saw Life and the singing and dancing was brilliant. The main theatre looked like a West End theatre.
We also enjoyed the Shakespeare events including Doctor William Heller's lectures on Hamlet and Words, Words, Words and Shakespeare and Science.
The Shakespearian actors were also great. The roamed around in costume and spoke to us all. We loved Cassandra Hodges, Simon Kingsley and James Stone. We saw Cassandra in a play in London recently called Antigone (one to watch).
We enjoyed the shopping onboard and my wife bought Micheal Kors handbag in the sale.
We would recommend Celebrity to our friends. Great service, clean and classy. It is expensive but worth every penny we thought!
