This is our seventh cruise...second with Celebrity. We booked in the Aqua class. Since we were flying in from Ontario, Canada, we came a day before the cruise and spent the night at the Springhill Suites (Marriott). I would highly recommend it for an overnight stay. Everyone we encountered there were friendly and helpful...front desk, shuttle people, at breakfast. They will shuttle you back to the airport at the end of the cruise for $10. per person.

We were doing two cruises...April 3 on the Celebrity Silhouette, and April 10 on Regal Princess, and this gave us a great opportunity to compare the two - which I will do in the conclusion of this review.

So, the good (really good), the bad, and the ugly about Celebrity Silhouette:

Labadee

A great beach to visit. We didn't bother an excursion, and just had a beach day. We headed to the far right side of the beach, and got a chair under a tree. We enjoyed the water and the beach. Fortunately we were the only ship in that day, so it wasn't crowded.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We didn't bother an excursion. It's a great place for walking about for a bit of shopping, or to simply sit and have a drink and take in the sites. We loved the place. Transfers are regular, and no waiting.
