It was the year of our 45th anniversary year and we wanted to do something special. Also, my wife's grandfather was born in Sicily and the ship docked in his home town of Trapani. I researched Viking and found them to be just what we wanted.

While on the cruise, everything was just great. While on the ship, the staff was just great. Our cabin steward took care of us and all of our needs. Dining was also great with almost anything and everything we could have wanted. The selections were to both of our likings. The beer and wine with lunch and dinners also was nice.

We took advantage of as many of the shore excursions as we could. Viking offers a free excursion in each port of call which was great. We also took advantage of other excursions which we paid for, and they also meant all of our expectations. The tour guides added to the experience as they added extra unknown stories to each tour.
