So much for 'Experience the world in comfort, fabulous food, fabulous hotel stay and a journey that is simply incredible.'

A very disappointing and poor value trip as the river was closed. Staff did not inform us we would not be able to cruise the river until 5 days into the trip, after being on board ship for 3 days, when they advised we were being transferred into hotels. On driving along the river it became evident the river had been closed for some time and was unlikely to reopen any time soon as it was running very fast with unpredictable currents and flooding along the banks.

This trip was booked as a premium cruising experience but deteriorated to a low key coach tour with some of the worst hotel food I have ever had. Unlike the ship there was no choice offered and what was on offer was of very poor quality. A trip to McDonalds was much more satisfying.
