Just returned and happy and relieved to report was fantastic. As new to cruising I left Freo Port with some trepidation given the terrible reviews the pacific eden has been getting. All I can say is the teething problems previously reported are sorted. Staff across ship were all friendly, accommodating and very helpful. I could not fault them.
The ship is gorgeous with so many colourful and inviting areas to sit and relax whether with friends and or for some reflection and quiet time. Although was school holidays, there was always quiet and relaxing nooks and i never felt crowded. I tried all restaurants and enjoyed them all. Good food, service and lovely decor. I absolutely loved the blue room, its ambience, style and furniture very comfortable.
Entertainment was fine, we enjoyed all the trivia contests and pablo and his team were all great. My teenagers enjoyed the table tennis tournaments as well as winning prizes with trivia comps. I even met the captain, he approached me and asked me if i was enjoying the cruise. So he was out and about. We were also impressed with the gym.
Cabin Review
Interior quad right at aft end so was worried we might be seasick but we loved it. Beds really comfy lots of storage space shower hot and toilet worked. Worked for us. Loved being on promenade deck 6 so we only had to go a few steps to go outside to have fresh air and be right next to ocean. Fred and Ashley our lovely cabin guys always left us chocolates and work so hard ensuring we are all kept comfortable. Our tv stopped working and after a quick call to reception it was replaced in a few hours with another tv. So impressed with prompt service. Not a real fan of interior too dark and disorientating in morning so that is my lesson learnt. Airconditoning in room fantastic too.
