We chose this cruise for 3 reasons: 1) We love Carnival Cruise Lines; 2) A ship we haven't been on yet and 3) It was over our daughter's spring break schedule for school.
We flew the morning of from Virginia to Orlando airport and purchasd a Limo service for less than a taxi would take us for. A-1 Limousine was the name of the company and they were great. It was cute watching my daughter see her name on a placard (it was a surprise) she thought she was in trouble and initially didn't understand why her name was being held on a sign by a guy in a suit. Not one for crowds in a shuttle bus!
Embarkation is only a nightmare when something delays it (Coast Guard Inspections, something broken on the ship etc..). It doesn't matter what port you are in! In this case, we heard that there was some piping repairs taking place which delayed embarkation a little and the terminal got packed.
The cabin was clean and quite ordinary and dated. Nothing special. Cabin crew personnel were always on top of things, I appreciate everything that they do for us.
Construction was ongoing at the port with many ships in, traffic was a nightmare!
Aruba is a nice port, we stick close to the ship and have lunch at Iguana Joe's!
Clean and nice, the architecture and colors are awesome. Watch for the floating bridge opeings!
Margaritaville! Need I say more?
