Our railing.
King for a day at Dzibanche Mayan ruin via Costa Maya. Done through The Native Choice tours.
The water show at the newly remodeled plaza, Cozumel.
The wife and friend beach drive, Raphael Del Melgar, Cozumel.
Approaching the Belize City port on the tender boat.

Felt we needed a short getaway, and a trip to Belize City before NCL stops going there. We have been on 10 cruises in 4 years. This was toward the bottom. Usually ran across friendly crew. Some were fairly new to ship. Even the officers.

We had the dining package, but ate in MDR and other common places. MDR service seemed slow. Got in one evening at 5 30. Did not leave till 7 15. Food was generally good. Better than last cruise on this ship. I can not say if buffet was better as we eat little buffet food. Breakfast was OK as I usually had the eggs cracked and cooked.

Did not make much entertainment as just too tired. See cabin review.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Deck 10 cabin had the creaking walls when the ship was rolling. Worst was the bathroom door frame would POP. Earplugs and fan noise no help from the POP. I checked out door, closer, hinges. Took weight of the door off the frame. It still popped. Guest services had us move to deck 8 obstructed view.

Room OK and quiet until wind got up. The banging above the outside window. Almost like a ball and string swinging. Housekeeping said "yes noisy" so was to have us move again. Another obstructed view. Would have moved at 2 AM , but toilet there did not work.

In the morning a saw a maintenance person, and a supv. I related the noise and possible wind issue. Wednesday night, no noise. first night's sleep.

But wait, Thursday night, 2 30 AM Friday, clomp, clomp, bang , bang. I open the drapes, and see a crewman on the catwalk outside our window.

The wife awakes asking "is it a storm ?" Nope, a crewman. I immediately call guest services. The guy is gone.
