I've always wanted to return to Europe during the wintertime and visit the Christmas markets. We had been receiving brochures from Viking for a year or so but didn't have the "free time" to commit to such a voyage. I became more and more intrigued as the brochures came, earmarking each cruise of interest. When the opportunity finally came we jumped on the chance and went to see our travel agent. Booking the cruise was a breeze and the booklets describing our itinerary provided valuable information for preparation as well as planning our port excursions. This cruise focused on everything I wanted to see and do as well as allow me to return to Paris and visit Prague.

Our travel from California to Paris then Prague back home was arranged through Viking and we encountered no problems or glitches. We were met at the airport and driven to the hotel where a Viking Representation handled our registration, secured our luggage, and gave us suggestions for dinner and seeing Paris.

The crew was wonderful and the local tour guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about their cities/towns. The evening presentations focusing on the next port, its history, and sights were well prepared and extremely valuable. Each of the markets we visited reflected the food and local customs of the host city.
