This was our first cruise with Viking Ocean Cruises and my wife and I chose this trip because it went to most of the islands in the western Mediterranean. We explored Barcelona on our own during our one full day in Barcelona because we had a specific list of sights we wanted to visit.

The Viking Star was a great ship to cruise on. Our cabin was spacious and always clean. The food was delicious everywhere on the ship and we especially enjoyed four nights in the specialty restaurants "Chef's Table" and "Manfredi's". We also enjoyed the afternoon tea service on several afternoons.

I have traveled on larger cruise ships and I have to say that I liked the size of the Viking Star. About half way through the cruise we started to recognize most of the passengers and we were becoming "buddies" with many of the friendly crew members.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

The cabin was immaculate, nicely decorated, luxurious and very comfortable. Our cabin attendant was very friendly and extremely competent in his job. Who could ask for more?
