I had had a fabulous Danube River Cruise 15 months earlier (Christmas Market cruise that was so magical) that I decided to do another Viking River cruise from Amsterdam to Basel. I booked the pre-cruise tour for two nights in Amsterdam (gave me a full two and a half days). The accommodations and fully manned Viking desk at the Radisson Blu Hotel was wonderful ! Plus the hotel and their staff was lovely. Viking representatives pick me up at the airport to the hotel (very nice). There was a walking tour included to help everyone orient themselves !

Now to this cruise -- Fabulous !!! It was a great itinerary !!! The ship was great, food outstanding and the staff couldn't do enough for me (so many of the staff knew me by my name quickly). Plus the tours were so good (including the super local tour operators).

My cabin was the larger of the rooms -- plenty of space, plus the room was keep immaculately clean. As I said, the staff were great and could not do enough for everyone. Read more
