We chose this cruise primarily because it was travelling to the Panama Canal and also to Cartagena, Columbia. The passengers were primarily older adults but there were a few families with children. I believe the Panama Canal is a greater point of interest for mature adults than for children. It was fascinating to view the mechanical operations of the canal as we progressed through the Gatun locks. The old walled city of Cartagena is very interesting to visit. The Colombian government has done an exceptional job of removing the criminal element from the city making it a safe place to visit and view the ancient architecture.

We opted for the transfer service available from Princess Cruises for our transportation from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the cruise ship and back to the airport which made for hassle free trips. We also purchased the easy-off option from Princess so that we did not have to handle or luggage at all on our return trip until we arrived at our home airport. We were off the ship, through customs and on the shuttle en-route to the airport in about 10 minutes. That was money well spent!

The cabin was a bit small but adequate for a 10 day cruise. We will probably opt for a mini-suite if we go an a 10 day cruise in the future. The Coral Princess has some of the most friendly and best room stewards and dining room help that we have encountered on our many cruises. They maintained a clean environment and were alert and attentive to our needs.
