MSC Fantasia: Good Experience

We have sailed MSC before- they are not Princess but for the money a great deal. We love Rome so we make use of these cruises.

Food was ok--we do not have great expectations for food--we are easy in that regard. Room service every morning to kick start the day then the buffet for breakfast. Service was good but of course not like Princess.

Cabin balcony was great. Shows were so so again not what Princess and others do.

Ports were Greek isles Athens and Israel--fantastic. Used local taxi's in Athens and Rhodes and loved the results. Great guys! Some have a problem with so many Europeans and the languages but it really is NO problem. Keep your expectations low and you will be pleasantly surprised like we are every time. We generally take cruises not always for the destinations but rather for the ship experience and this was a most satisfying cruise.

The embarkation was very slow but once again--so what--we got in and were on our way.

This was a very nice itinerary.

We used local internet tours in Israel and were pleased. Do not like the ship tours. Prefer to be on our own.

In Rome we used airbnb for an apartment close to the Vatican and ran across a local tour outfit run by Dino but we always used his driver Piero--call Piero +39 348 715 6311 and tell him Tom from Denver Co said to call--

In Athens we used Taxi tourguide Dimitris Labrou--+30 6970 876279--absolutely the best.
