First, I want to say that I had read several reviews about the AOTS ship. There were some that "complained" and said they people were not friendly. Welllllllll, I don't know who you talked to, or were around, but from our room steward, Pursers Desk, Photo area, Windjammer, attendants cleaning other rooms, cleaning bathrooms, etc., EVERYONE was friendly when I walked by, whether I spoke to them or not. Others had complained about peeling pain, rust, discolored towels, sheets, etc., and we did not see anything like that.
The main dining room of the Vivaldi which we ate at (there are two main dining rooms) was very nice. The food wasn't bad either, especially the first night, which was great. I know the rest at our table of 8 liked their food, but I am not a sea food person, so that was my fault. Our waiters Chino and James (we had 3rd floor) were top notch.
The Windjammer buffet has plenty to choose from also.
It was a little crowded, but we expected that with an interior room, but we made the best of it with putting luggage either under the bed, or in the closet.
This is a wonderful place to check out too. You will think you will get cold, but they give you cover ups, and I get cold easy, and actually I got too warm.
This is worth doing, but there are steps to walk up, before you get on the tram. the view is great.
There were many vendors there once you get off the ship, but really didn't see much while walking. There is a beach very close by too.
We did Cosol tours, and it was even better than what I remember 9 years ago. With this tour, they even fed/drinks more than once. It was worth every penny and then even more.
We had never been to Grenada before. There will be vendor out front, as they are known for their spices (I bought some cinnamon), etc. We walked to Ft. Frederick, which is not too far away. I am 73 years old/young, and "climbed" over 150 steps up. Oh what a view of Grenada.
We did a 2 hour tour. There are many men out trying to get you to take a tour with them. We went on a 2 hour, plus he took us to Valley church beach which is a great beach to visit. We were there for an hour, and he was ready to take us back to the ship. For $20 it was well worth the trip.
