This is my very first cruise critic review so please bear with me here! I'm usually not one to write long and extensive reviews about my cruises, but this one was so eventful (and not in a good way) that I felt obligated to share my thoughts.

A short premise:

I come from a family of avid cruisers, this being my 11th (and I'm only 18). We have sailed with NCL twice before (last NCL cruise was in 2011) with no major complaints that I can recall. Royal Caribbean is our favorite cruise line, but being that we live in NJ (not many RCI ships sail from around us), the Breakaway seemed like a convenient choice for a spring break vacation. We were a little reluctant to book anything other than RCI, but to eliminate the hassle of flying we decided to give NCL another try. We embarked with an open mind and forgave a few slip ups here and there, but eventually everything began to roll downhill.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

we had a family balcony, with 4 people staying in the room. I know that cruise cabins are on the small side, but in this case, the word 'small' was an understatement. There was absolutely no walking room and the balcony was the smallest I've ever seen. Our room was cleaned very late in the day, which we were pretty upset with. It wasn't until the 2nd or 3rd day that we accidentally noticed a button near the door that triggered a light outside the room indicating a request to clean. No one told us that we had to press it, so we had no idea.
