We have been on many, many cruises, and this one was right down there with the worst. We will never sail with MSC again, no matter how discounted the price nor how convenient the dates.

Foul food: very poor quality and tepid was as warm as it got. After sampling dried out meat and fish we became vegetarian for the rest of the cruise. And we avoided the dining room as the service was disgraceful. For example After one and a half hours we had only had one course. there was no jug of water with meals, you had to buy bottled water or do without.

We were charged for so many things which we take for granted and gratis on other cruise lines. They even charged for the galley tour! ( surprised we were not charged for water usage in the shower) . This was a very slick moneymaking machine. Hats off to them for running such a tight operation where no effort is spared to separate you from your cash. They even tried to charge us 65 euros for library books that had been left behind by other passengers which they had put in their library and erroneously claimed we hadn't returned! Read more
