The ship itself is great and we had good time! But overall was slightly disappointed, the victory was a much more fun ship with Way NICER PEOPLE! Guest and staff! This cruise had a very bullyish crowd that made it very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. People would cut lines, move in on your space, non stop complain about their drinks! And when you were polite to them but asked them to move or exuse me, they would make very big scenes. A bar staff member told us on our first sea day that he hated cruises that went to Jamaica for that reason, and it showed because overall the bar staff was not that great or showed very much enthusiasm the entire trip. It seemed like they would do anything to appease loud ignorant people and leave the rest of the rule abiding people to sip on weak drinks to make up for the bully's getting extra, all the time. The worst part about it is that you could see the staff frustrations knowing it was wrong and still letting all this happen to avoid scenes, be it at the bar, pool, port debark, lounge, or casino staff. It was at times very frustrating because I know they are trying to make this a fun care free environemt but you felt like childish treatment got you more, which is sad. Rules still should be enforced

The rooms were clean always and so was the whole boat for that matter! The room servicing staff were not as friendly but did their jobs. The room servicing staff never took the time to learn our names like they did on past cruises. Food was great most nights but that's to be expected. I loved our dinning staff, but that's about it as far the guest service staff. I really do applaude the dining staff as they saved this trip for us. We looked forward to going to dinner every night as they knew our names and always asked how our port days were! On our last cruise in September, the service and staff crushed it they were amazing! This time not so much. Even the cruise director seemed way too busy to care to make lido deck events fun. The music up there was the same boring band over and over. I think a DJ played only once per day for like 1/2hr. You could tell peotple wanted to dance and party and have fun but the music selected wasn't about that. It was just chill music.... Not bad just boring after awhile.

I know this sounded like a whiny review that I usually can't stand reading myself but it had to be said. I WILL CRUISE CARNIVAL AGAIN FOR SURE! I still had a great vaction and wouldn't change much. And I still feel this cruise line is more fun then others and am not going to let one bad experience with people and staff mess that up, yet. Just will not be on conquest because of service.
