I have recently come back from a 2 week cruise on the Britannia to the Caribbean ,I have been on many different cruise ships but the Britannia by far is the worst ship ever. The food was appalling in the Meridian Restaurant the menu was the same thing every night, the food was of poor quality just a few choices of the main meal was gammon and chips steak and chips dinners which I would cook at home during a typical week. on the 3rd night at the Meridian the menu was again the same choices so I left and went up the Horizon Restaurant . Again not much choice there and the food was alway luke warm. 5 of the other dining options around the ship you had to pay an entry fee ?? Why I don't know but I have never had to pay an entry fee into a restaurant on any other cruise. On level 5 of the ship you could have afternoon tea and cake but be prepared to pay a fee but if you have tea and cake on level 16 it is free, I queried this and was told that level 5 tea and cake was a "designer cafe " ??? . The staff were rude they either ignored you or pretended that they never heard you. The entertainment on the ship was diabolical if your idea of having fun is to throw ping pong balls into a plastic cup then you are laughing if not you could always learn how to juggle !!!!! The ship its self is badly designed there this no adequate sign posting through out the ship so you wander around aimlessly looking for different facilities along with hundreds of other people all looking bewildered. I could go on but I don't want to bore you. All I can say is don't waste your money on this over rated ship. I will not be cruising on this ship again.
