My grandmother used to go on cruises all the time and as kids, we would go down to circular quay to see her off. So, of course i always wanted to go on a cruise. The opportunity finally arrived and I had 4 set criteria when booking. It didn't matter where the boat travelled, how long it was for and no thought was given to any drinks deal or shore excursions or mini bar or private bathroom or if there was a swimming pool or anything else. I wasn't thinking about anything else but these
. Must be within my budget
- Absolutely must depart from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay.
I don't need to describe my room, you can see it from inside and outside on

My room steward was Gerald. I don't normally tip but Gerald got a tip.
Nothing was a problem. He introduced himself when I arrived and asked if he
should clean the room in the morning or the evening. I said it will depend
on how much I drink. He then asked me to use the the cruisin/snoozin sign so
that he would know he can clean. When passing him in the hall outside my
cabin, he would greet me good morning or good after noon, he would greet me
by name and shake my hand.
The cabin is entirely what I expected and was well maintained by Gerald.
There was the water issue but I was happy with the
solution
I was as close to the forward lifts on deck 6 as it is possible to be and
was expecting to hear noise from the lift area but heard no noise outside my
cabin except for the muffled sound of announcements.
Taken by bus to their depot by the river. Taken in a motorised canoe up the river past 7 other waterfalls and through a bit of white water to a large waterfall with lagoon for swimming. Then taken to a village for a kava ceremony and lunch.
The only option was a trip to the beach. On arrival, we were told there are stinging jelly fish so do not swim or snorkel.
many people stayed on the ship, including myself
