This was a Spring Break cruise with 3 interior rooms for my hubby, myself, teenage son, and adult son, and girlfriend. We flew into San Juan the day before and stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites. About a $20 taxi ride from the airport. They do charge $1 per piece of luggage so this was an addiltional $6. Hotel allowed early check in. Free reception in the evening with beer, wine, pina coladas, nuts, and popcorn. The beach is across the street and about a block down. The hotel charges a resort fee. Upon walking to the beach it was very crowded, as it was Good Friday, and we didn't see a hotel area with chairs. Disappointing. There is a Walgreens directly across the street. The next am, we checked out at noon and headed to the port. Taxis were waiting right outside the door. $30. 15 mins. Upon drop off, we headed to the luggage line, 6 people in front of us, to drop off tagged luggage, and then proceeded to the check in line with passports and express pass, printed during online check in, in hand. Security scanned our remaining luggage then we were directed to the correct lane, waited maybe 10 mins, got our room cards, and walked right onto the ship. It was 12:50. By 1pm the rooms were ready, we dropped off our luggage, and noticed a bad musty smell in our sons room, 2076. Luckily we always bring room spray and he didn't notice. Rooms were beside each other but had a different layout. 2072 had the bed positioned on the right wall which only gave about a foot between the front of the bed and mirrored wall. 2076 had the bed on the back wall. Both had twin sofa sleepers and a desk. Small bottles of lotion, shampoo, and body wash along with bars of soap where given. Bath towels had sewn in hooks that made it easy to hang. Ellisio, our room steward was excellent and then the NIGHTMARE started. Ship set sail at 9pm and we entered our room 2072, around 11pm and laid down to sleep. About 30 mins. later an inconsistent low bass banging started and continued about 8 times per minute. We were beside the steward closet and thought maybe, a clothes dryer. My husband even went into the hall to see if it was a loose door, but found nothing. We were so tired from traveling we finally fell asleep. Next day we awoke in Tortola, had prebooked the catamaran snorkeling excursion. Excellent!!! Celebrity is very organized with their tours. Tickets delivered to stateroom with instructions. We had prebooked dinner reservations, online, about 3 months before for the dining room. Edie, our waiter, made recommendations and we always enjoyed our food. Best service! After a long day, we were ready for bed, and low and behold, as soon as the ship started sailing the low bass banging noise started in our room. The noise would reverberate into your chest. After about an hour, we called maintenance. The arrived in 5 minutes and proceeded to call someone else to hear the problem. Meanwhile my husband went and spoke with Josue at guest services. He said he would need to wait for maintenance to determine what could be done. Maintenance said they couldn't fix it. Hubby asked if we could be moved and he stated "Procedure will have to be followed, ?what does that mean?, and told us to go back to the room and he will call. He called about 30 ins. later and said he was checking with maintenance about carpet drying in another room and would call back. Another 45 min of sitting in this room and I was nauseated with a huge headache and in tears. NO call back. Now I, hubby, and son went down to guest services and spoke with Josue, and he stated THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. I asked 3 times and he answered the same. At this point, 11pm we just wanted a room we could sleep in and thank goodness we had our sons room. After 30 more mins. hubby thought his was ridiculous and went back down to guest services and spoke to Celebrity's true guest representative, Victoria, and she quickly gave us keys to 2 available rooms. The guests had not arrived for the cruise. I have never been so glad to be packing and moving at midnight. Lunches were eaten in the buffet and at the grill, many separate stations, hardly any lines. The best buffet food we have had on a cruise ship. Almost nightly from 9-12pm, 1/2 price drinks were available at certain bars. This cruise was port intensive, 5 days. At Dominica, we choose the emerald pool and trafalgar falls. Beautiful scenery and information but lots of time in the bus but well worth it. At St. Kitts we booked Greys Island tour, online, and would highly recommend this. It was raining at St. Thomas so we opted to relax in the thallasospa area. It is like an indoor pool, the bars in the pool to recline on are soooo relaxing, for adults only, with healthy food options, fruit water, hot tea, etc. Disembarkation went smoothly. We had to be out of the room by 8am. We had filled out the paperwork on when we would like to debark and were given the time we had asked for in 2 of our rooms but not the 3rd. Strange. Luckily, we had enough luggage tags with the 2 rooms. We then proceeded to the theater to wait for our number to be called. After leaving the ship, key card must be used, picking up our luggage and going through customs, we were in a taxi headed to the airport. 45 minutes max! When you get to the airport, don't forget to have luggage scanned for produce. They place a small sticker on it. It is at the very front entrance. Not many food options and lines were 20 people deep during lunchtime.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, unless you can verify problem has been solved.
Low, bass banging noise when ship is moving. Reverberates into your chest, nausea and headache inducing.
