This is my second cruise on the POA. The first was in 2010 and the second on 4/2/16. The ship was redone and numerous décor improvements were made since our first cruise.

While the ship was beautiful there were several problems I have never experience before on other NCL cruises as well as many of their competitors. First, the food in the Aloha café was consistently cold and as a result not very appetizing. Second, the shower in our cabin never got warm, if you like a cold shower you will really like this ship. Third, the Hollywood showroom were most of the main shows were presented was ice cold and most patrons were wearing over coats and heavy sweaters, in Hawaii!.

The other disturbing problem was the uncleanliness of the restroom around the pool areas. Twice, when I entered the men's room during times when the pool was not even in use, the smell of urine was strong and the floor stained with urine, disgusting! Also for some reason I can't understand, there was a strong smell of sewer gas in some common outdoor areas of the ship .
