First, the dining experience did exceed my expectations - but this was the only area that did. Antonio was wonderful - friendly, hard-working, attentive to each of my family member's preferences - a wonderful server! Cyprian also was very good, although there always seemed to be excessive noise in the dining hall when he was explaining choices, and with his accent it was difficult to understand him (with our table for 10). The food was delicious and well-presented, and there was adequate selection. We ate every dinner at 8 pm and also some breakfasts in the Aquarius. Cecelia was outstanding also - so full of energy, upbeat and joyous every time we saw her, and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I was disappointed that with an 8:00 pm dining time, we were not able to see the shows. On other cruises, we have never had a conflict with our dining time and the show times offered.

Every cruise line we have been on have had a 1/2 price or a special drink offer each day; I was amazed that RC did not have specials! Very disappointing. However, the alcoholic beverages that I and my husband had - as well as those of my other family members - were very good.

The cruise staff was friendly and helpful for the most part, but our embarkation and disembarkation experiences tainted our experience - making it very unpleasant and negative. Explanation: because of a weather front in and around the Tampa area, our flight was first delayed, then cancelled. A flight representative tried for 1 1/2 hours to find another flight to get us to Tampa in time for embarkation, but there were flight delays that prevented this. Calling RC, I was told that no one could embark after 3:15 pm on 4-02-2016. We incurred $1,700 extra expense because we had to fly to Roatan by way of San Salvador: Flight cost for two, 2 hotels, 4 taxis, food, beverages, etc. Read more
