First, the dining experience did exceed my expectations - but this was the only area that did. Antonio was wonderful - friendly, hard-working, attentive to each of my family member's preferences - a wonderful server! Cyprian also was very good, although there always seemed to be excessive noise in the dining hall when he was explaining choices, and with his accent it was difficult to understand him (with our table for 10). The food was delicious and well-presented, and there was adequate selection. We ate every dinner at 8 pm and also some breakfasts in the Aquarius. Cecelia was outstanding also - so full of energy, upbeat and joyous every time we saw her, and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I was disappointed that with an 8:00 pm dining time, we were not able to see the shows. On other cruises, we have never had a conflict with our dining time and the show times offered.

Every cruise line we have been on have had a 1/2 price or a special drink offer each day; I was amazed that RC did not have specials! Very disappointing. However, the alcoholic beverages that I and my husband had - as well as those of my other family members - were very good.

The cruise staff was friendly and helpful for the most part, but our embarkation and disembarkation experiences tainted our experience - making it very unpleasant and negative. Explanation: because of a weather front in and around the Tampa area, our flight was first delayed, then cancelled. A flight representative tried for 1 1/2 hours to find another flight to get us to Tampa in time for embarkation, but there were flight delays that prevented this. Calling RC, I was told that no one could embark after 3:15 pm on 4-02-2016. We incurred $1,700 extra expense because we had to fly to Roatan by way of San Salvador: Flight cost for two, 2 hotels, 4 taxis, food, beverages, etc.

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Ryan was a good steward and very friendly. Our junior suite (8572) was clean and well-maintained. However, only one towel animal was placed on our bed during the 5 nights we were there - not an essential need, but I have always looked forward to this special added touch on cruises. The excessive ongoing train-sounding noise during each day and night was unacceptable. I believe it was carts being moved around on deck 9, and it both awakened and kept us awake in the middle of the night. We have cruised 8 times on different cruise lines, and this has never happened; this was our first experience in a suite, so that made it even more intolerable. Not worth the extra cost !!! No staterooms, let alone suites, should be located in this area! My sister two suites away had to tolerate the same issue and dealt with Guest Relations; it was not resolved.
