Sail Date: Apr 2016

We left out of Port Canaveral on the Carnival Valor on April 2. We did not sail until 2 am due to a medical emergency on the cruise before us.

We stayed in a balcony room on Deck 6. We were very disappointed to learn that our friends balcony could not be opened to allow us one big balcony next door to each other. When you book a cruise and you ask to be right beside someone, Carnival should ask if you’d be interested in opening the partitions on balconies and inform you if you can’t. Karol in Guest Services was apologetic and stated he would send us something to the dining room which he never did.

Service was pretty good. Disappointed that our state room steward never introduced himself which is a first time for us on a cruise. He did a great job with cleaning our room and providing ice but just wasn’t social at all.
