This is a review of the beautiful Regal Princess. Let me give you a little background on us as cruisers first. We are a retired couple who live in Palm City Florida. We have been cruising since 1987 and have cruised with most major cruise lines. This was our 50th cruise overall and our 16th cruise with Princess. We had cruised on the Regal Princess previously in December of 2014. These days we do choose to cruise on Princess the most and then Celebrity.
The Regal is a Royal class ship – the second one in the fleet. She holds 3560 passengers and first sailed in May of 2014. The Piazza has been expanded on these ships and there are a number of additional amenities. We like the way these and the Grand class ships live for us. The layout is excellent and we never feel crowded.
Our cabin was Emerald 427 – an inside stateroom, midships and close to the elevators. The Royal class ships do not have a mid-ship staircase that goes above Deck 7 so we relied on the elevators and never had a problem getting one quickly. My husband has some mobility issues and can't walk a far distance at any one time and this location was perfect for him.
Great location - midships and close to the elevators. Quiet. Great cabin attendant. TV large and interactive with great movies for late night viewing. Plenty of storage.
Great beach experience - we don't get off anymore
We never get off here - nothing for us - but would recommend St. John
We stayed on the ship but have loved being here before.
