We are in our mid-40's, and traveled with our two daughters ages 21 and 15. This was our second time on a Princess cruise. Our first was on the Caribbean Princess and although that ship was in desperate need of some sprucing up, we still enjoyed every bit of it. We were excited to sail on the much bigger and much newer Regal Princess. It did not disappoint!

Princess may not be the perfect fit for everyone’s type of cruising. If you’re looking for a ton of onboard activities to keep busy and entertained all day long and party it up in an almost amusement park type setting, you will probably want to consider another cruise line. Princess, offers many fun activities, just a bit more low-key. We live close to Orlando, so we get our fill of hectic and wildly fun vacations. We wanted a cruise to relax, unplug, and just enjoy the serenity of the ocean and Princess was the perfect fit.

The ship is beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and classy. Although it is quite big, we rarely felt like we were sailing with 4000 others. We chose a mini-suite which offered plenty of space and storage for the four of us and the full sized bath tub was a huge plus. The sofa becomes a twin bed and the overhead pulls down directly above it, basically creating a bunk-bed that stays flat against the wall (other ships have the sofa bed that pulls out from the wall). This was great as you still had plenty of room to walk through and access/open the balcony even when the beds were turned down. The in-room movie selection was incredible! Room service always delivered right on time. Our cabin steward, Polaris, did a fantastic job keeping our room tidy and well stocked with extra towels and ice. The balcony is a bit tight, but not a big deal to us and we enjoyed the views, sounds and ocean air.
