Returned from a 11 night New Zealand Cruise, very relaxing. Fist time on RC.Traveled as a couple.

Embarkation was slow I thought took around 1.1/2 hours to board ship. Cabin was spacious and clean and our room attendant was excellent - Maritas she is a jem and nothing was too much trouble. Wardrobe is pretty spacious with shelving, although not enough coat hangers, but easily provided when we asked for extras. Bathroom you typical cabin bathroom. After walking the corridors of other levels there were sewerage problems, flooding etc where there were fan blowers trying to dry out the carpet etc in the corridors.

Windjammers I did not like it was a pigs fest, double dipping and people using their fingers, pushing and shoving to get their food etc; hard to secure a table at times. MDR is available for breakfast lunch and dinner, go there much more civilised. Lunch in the MDR you will sit with fellow travelers, it was a great way to get to know other people. Dinner in the MDR was a hit and a miss at times, drink service was a bit slow at times. Our waiter was good and had a drink waiting for us every night.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Absolutely recommend if you ever have the chance to stay in an AFT cabin do it, it was wonderful, larger balcony, and to sit out on the balcony and watch the wake - beautiful, relaxing and very therapeutic, as we were the last cabin on the side of the ship we had no obstruction. 2 chairs with a table on balcony provided, there is a metal bar that you do need to be careful that you don't hit your head on, hit is once and you won't hit your head again, but this was a minor problem and not really a problem at all.

Being able to view the whales and albatross following the wake and viewing Milford Sound, Dusky Sound and Doubtful sound from our own balcony was a bonus.

It was very quiet cabin, water pressure excellent. Fairly spacious

Had to book this cabin 15 months in advance direct with RC to secure the cabin.

Thoroughly recommend.
