Where do i start? What a great cruise. Some of the criticisms I have read are totally unjustified. Yes it is an older ship, but tired definitely not.
We arrived on a warm spring day and parked at the car park by the terminal. Very convenient and easy. Checked in around 1130 with no queues. We had suite 9212 so we were directed to the VIP area for snacks. No time for these as Patrick our concierge arrived to escort us onto the ship. It was great to see him again as we had sailed with him on the Norwegian Pearl 3 years ago. He is the best! Straight to Cagneys for cocktails and lunch. Staterooms available almost straight away.
After a good lunch down to our aft Penthouse with a huge balcony. A separate bedroom with a whirlpool bath and get this, a window out onto the ocean as you soak in the tub. Separate shower and toilet. The bedroom has mirrored ceilings and the ultimate in opulence. All with paintings of Venice around the suite. A few issues were quickly sorted by our butler the happy smiling Teodoro. He was our friend and helper along with Patrick for the next week.
Awesome suite. Definitely book this one again. Some vibration from the engines to remind you it is a ship!
Gives a great all round view of the island and what views they are. Excellent boat trip back with free rum punches.
excellent tour with Derek our bus driver. Very informative and plenty of laughs.
Taxi into town for plenty of good shopping. Credit card took a bashing but well worth it
Easy and quick boarding
