Have just returned from an 8 night Noumea/Lifu/Ise of Pines cruise on Solstice.
Have been on Carnival Spirit and legend, Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas, and Holland America Zuderdam.
Solstice was but far the nicest Ship, it seamed to be more open and much better décor ( light and airy ) I thing that I thought would have been better was to have tables and seats along the window areas of the pool deck, there were too many lounge chairs and it was hard to find a place to sit and have a bite to eat and drink with a table.

If you want a bit cheaper balcony cabin this one is good, the obstruction is the top of the life boat you have a view between 2 life boats, and you can still see over them when seated.
