I am not a picky cruiser by any means. I understand it takes a village to ensure a ship can successfully keep most of us happy for a week! Not an easy task but NCL does a pretty good job trying.I have been on almost every NCL ship and the Escape was lovely. We were able to disembark fairly quickly unlike the Getaway last month which took over 2 hours and witnessed many guest altercations. It was downright scary so leaving the Escape was a breath of fresh air.
The entertainment on board was something to be desired. Others must have felt the same way due to the fact that the 5 o clock somewhere bar was always empty due to the terrible off key singer and band. People would walk in, thought it was karaoke and leave. The supper club singer was mediocre at best. It was mostly an evening of listening to her accomplishments, but it did take my mind off of the food. On a positive note, the District Beer Bar was fantastic and the piano player Beau was hilarious and original. He was the only one who acknowledged our nightly prescence and remembered our names.
The theater shows were not fun or full of talent. The acapella group was good but not great. After midnight was a waste of time. We left the show and went back to the District. I long for the times when the shows were first rate like we first saw on the NCL ship, Pearl. Oh, what a night Frankie Valle group I fear we will never see such talent on cruise ships again.
Very nice but the room was dirty and finger prints in the cabin and bathroom. We asked our room steward to re clean the cabin, which he did promptly.
Beautiful scenery
Not ready for cruise ships but getting there
Love the shopping
