Sail Date: Feb 2016

This was our 12th cruise (all prior with Royal and Norwegian) and first with Princess. We won’t be booking Princess again.

First, the good. The interior stateroom was well laid out with plenty of space for storage and moving around. I particularly liked the way the closet area separates the bathroom and living areas. Also, the food, when it finally arrived, was generally of decent quality and variety in the main dining room. The fitness center was never too crowded that we couldn’t find the equipment we desired often without any waiting. The equipment was in generally good condition and most, if not all treadmills and cycles appeared to be operational. The ship is fast, relatively clean and the itinerary was fun for the most part.

Now, for the bad. Who doesn’t put a top sheet (flat sheet) on a bed? Our first night, we go to get in bed after being out and about on the ship at around 9:30 and discover first, that our cabin has not been attended to AND second, our bed has simply a fitted sheet and our duvet – that’s it. I seek our cabin steward (still roaming the halls) and ask what’s up? He says it is Princess Policy to not use a top sheet but roots through his cart and offers me one. At first I thought he was lying to me but we did ask others who confirmed the absence of a top sheet on their beds. Really?
