we have been on 2 other cruises in the past and we were a little disappointed with this one, although we still had a good time...after all, we sailed to the Caribbean. It began when we were booking the cruise, we discovered a couple of surprises like the price advertised was not accurate, yet they were still promoting the false price online even though you couldn't get it. The website also said we could take advantage of a pick 2 promotion which the booking agent also said we couldn't. Once onboard, we were disappointed by several things. The service in the dining rooms was really slow...not that we were in a hurry, but we don't necessarily want to sit and wait 30 minutes for each course or have dinner take close to 2 hours. because of their freestyle dining, we also had to wait for a table more than once and were not able to make a reservation for a preferred time as we were led to believe when we booked. They actually only take a small number of reservations and all of those times were gone before we ever boarded the ship. I went several times to try and get ice cream but it was not available most of the times I checked. Also tried to get some chocolate chip cookies at the 24 hour snack area, but also never available when I went. Showed up for an excercise class one morning that was free, but it turns out it was only offered so that the instructor could try and sign you up for a dietary program that he does that costs thousands of dollars. Our dinner was also interrupted every evening but photographers wanting to take our picture so they could sell us pictures. I felt like on this ship they push everything from drinks to pictures to bingo to fitness programs. I just wanted to relax and be on vacation without being asked to buy something every 5 minutes. even in the evening shows they did commercials to get you to buy things. At any rate, we will look forward to another cruise someday, it will just most likely not be norwegian. Oh yeah and one more thing, we did not know about the $13.50 per day per person service charge until after we booked and you are not given the option to adjust it or do your own tipping instead.

Not all that we had hoped for, based on past cruises.

Cabin Review

Large Oceanview Picture Window
Cabin O3 5600
the cabin was okay, although it was pretty worn and we had some holes in our carpet. the walls are also very thin so we could hear the people on either side of us.
Deck 8 Inside Cabins, Outside Cabins
