Liberty of the Seas Review

Royal Caribbean versus Carnival

Review for the Western Caribbean Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Liberty of Seas is beautiful and has excellent entertainment and activities. Excellent pools. Upbeat cruse director and staff. It was a lot of fun and we had an excellent vacation. It was disappointing new water slide never worked and they split/divided the one flow rider down the middle into two.... (although this helps to reduce lines, it is not as fun...and they are not tolerant of tricks from experienced riders...probably liability, I guess I get that). There were some kinks in the My Time Dining process and staff in main dining room appeared over-worked/overwhelmed. We traveled during spring break and our cruise occupancy was quite high.

This was out first cruise with Royal Caribbean. We have cruised with Carnival 8x. We decided to upgrade to Royal Caribbean this time to see if they are truly superior.

Equal on both cruise lines: Friendliness of staff/service, cabin services, quality of food, beauty of ship (depends on year built and or renovated),same frustrating boarding and disembarking processes, crowded buffet at breakfast an lunch

Cabin Q

Excellent Cabin services. It was clean and well tended to. It was quiet and dark at night. Just perfect.
