Cabin: Spa Interior

We've only been on 3 cruises prior to this sailing. This was by far the best. Let me start with Embarkation. We drove to the port and parked at the port. $20 per day. Kinda of steep, however very conviienent. It took approx. 1.5 hrs. to board. Our cabin was an interior spa cabin. It was small but we didn't spend a whole lot of time in there. With a spa cabin, you have access to the Serenity Spa. The amenities are nice. Sauna, therapy pool, heated loungers etc. Our cabin steward Marta was wonderful. He made sure we had plenty of the elemis toiletries that are included in the spa cabin. They smell really nice. He always greeted us with a smile and knew our names.

We had your time dining. It was nice to have the flexibility to eat when ever we wanted. I missed dining and meeting other people. Next cruise we will go back to assigned dining. Just our preference. The food was good. Nothing special. We did eat in the steakhouse which was great. I recommend making reservations before your cruise. We had reservations but wanted to back another night and everything was booked. The deli was really good and the pizza was decent. Lots of choices on the buffet during lunch, however very limited for dinner. Guys burgers where the best. C-Side bbq. was not very good. Breakfast was always good in the dining room and buffet.

Entertainment was really good. Different show every night . Comedy club was great. We saw 3 different comedians all very good. Late shows for adults only were great.

Spa Interior

Cabin 4S

We had an interior spa cabin. Very nicely decorated. Calm colors. 3 nice size closets, small desk area. Bathroom was adequate but small. Not a lot of room for anything . It was tight. No where to sit but on the bed, which by the way was very comfortable. Bring a night light because it's dark. Having access to the Serenity Spa was nice.

Port Reviews

Antigua

We took a short walk to the local bus station and took a bus to Nelson's Dockyard. Interesting place with lots of history. $1.50 pp each way.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

This is Carnival's new private island. Beautiful pool area with lounge chairs, zip line which we did not try, shopping. We chose to walk around a bit and head back to the ship.
