our trip was over xmas and new year on celebrity solstice ship for 2 weeks starting in auckland and finishing in sydney . this was a retirement gift to each other and we went with our friends.

we have travelled with celebrity to hawaii on a smaller ship a few years back and these 2 ships were very different

the staff on the smaller ship had energy and time with a smile the staff on solstice were mostly uncaring and tired it is a large ship that needs more staff especially in the buffet on board , many a day we could not find seats due to tables not cleaned or no seating. the cabin staff were outstanding and always had time and a smile and hello.

this cabin has an extra big balcony and is on the cross of the ship next door my friends balcony was 8543 and this was bigger we pulled back balcony courtesy of cabin boy and had an extra large balcony it was centre of ship and comfortable
