We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise it was perfect for our family or two older and two younger kids, there was something for everyone.
The people is what made the cruise, the staff were amazing, our room steward marvin was so awesome, we felt like we were leaving behind a friend.
The boat itself was not so great, on the ridiculously hot days the air conditioning in a lot of places was hotter than being outside, you could not stay in your room for long periods as it was ridiculously hot, apparently a common problem according to staff.
Food in the plantation restaurant was very hit and miss, throwing white sauce on yellow broccoli does not make it any more palatable, a lot of the meals were leftovers redone and obviously so, one night was so bad, they paid for us to eat at the outside grill! However breakfast and lunch was always good it was only dinner that was an issue.
Kids club was great, the family pool was far too deep to enjoy with young children, and was mostly closed due to weather and the kids pool was only open one day of the entire cruise. The entertainment was brilliant, the parties we really enjoyed, and the cocktail classes are well worth taking.
Tonga was amazing, we didn't do a shore tour instead we paid a local taxi driver to take us around and it was a really lovely day, the second day we did the same. Fiji we paid for a snorkelling tour which was exceptional and worth every cent, then caught the $1 bus to see more of the island.
Would we cruise again, absolutely the good parts outweighed the bad, but it is time Pacific Pearl was either seriously overhauled or put out to pasture
Cabin was very well set out, towels were fresh every day, beds made and rooms tidied twice a day, everything necessary was provided and the service was brilliant
amazing, so worth every single cent, we went about 40 mins out and were dropped in the middle of the ocean to snorkel over a reef, it was exceptional, we had two small children with us but that was no problem, the kids were given life jackets and we were all given noodles, it was cruisy and relaxed and the crew were lovelyView All 2 Snorkeling Reviews
