Day 1 - L.A. was still a bit chilly but considering what was to lie ahead we had no problem with the cool breezes. The check-in at the port in was amazingly quick, professional and friendly. We arrived at 12:30 pm the afternoon we disembarked and by 1 pm could enter our cabin. Once we got into our cabin we headed over to the Windjammer and grabbed a little something to eat. On our way in to the Windjammer we each bought a soda package. My advice is not to do this. It is overpriced and not worth it. Besides there is plenty of water, tea and lemonade to drink.

We proceeded to the 11th and 12th decks to watch the ship pull out of port. Let me interject here and tell you the ship is HUGE. Beautiful and huge. I was impressed by it's size and it's layout. What a wonderful piece of engineering and design.

At 6 pm we proceeded to dinner and ended with a table of the nicest 7 folks you could imagine. We loved our companions and looked forward to every dinner with them.

Cabin Review

I though the inside stateroom was a the perfect size for Karen and I. However, next time we go we will get a room with a balcony. Our attendant Husen was fantastic. He kept the room neat and clean for us.....
