This was my husband & I's first cruising experience. Beachbody had chartered the boat and we were excited for this unique trip! The ship is large - lots of entertainment - clean and beautiful. Lots of food choices (some for $, some included). Our cabin faced the boardwalk and had a small balcony, it was lovely. I can't speak too much to the entertainment since it was chartered and we had our own events happening. Getting on the boat was a nightmare - but there were extraordinary circumstances. A crew member was hanging off the boat, threatening to commit suicide. So we waited in a massive line for about 2 hours. The womens bathroom outside had flooded. By the time we got inside, the line we ended up in was stalled because all of the computer systems were down. Once we got on board we purchased the WiFi package (streaming, 20$ USD/day) - we attempmted to video chat with our kids but the wifi did not work. It was 1.5 days before it was resolved.. we were promised a credit which did not happen. Getting on and off the boat for excursions was quick and easy.. though they only had one small booth working to actually talk about and book excursions... this took a long time on night one. In retrospect, book before you get on the boat. We hit another snag after leaving Bahamas and had to turn around and return to port due to a sick crew member. This did not seem to impact our schedule though. Our room service man was incredible happy, friendly and helpful. The kind of service we had heard about from other cruise goers. But this is where the good service stopped. Getting a drink you had to practically beg for their attention. Tips are built in and you could feel it.. they were unhappy.. slow and really disinterested in serving us. At dinner the food was really average. We had a drink server and a food server.. but the drink server disappeared. We asked our food server for our drinks and he said no sorry you have to wait for the drinks server to return. Well, it was near desert time when he finally did and he was rude about it. Extremely disappointed about the overall food and beverage service. In summary we had a good time, but we will look for a cruise that will place an emphasis on service next time.
