Sail Date: Mar 2016
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

We boarded the ship without any issues or delays which is a great way to start any cruise. On this cruise, we had the mini-suite and we found it to be in excellent order. It appeared to me that the ship had recently been refurbished as we saw quite a bit of new carpet, paint, etc. I will say that the service on this ship was some of the best that we have ever had, especially our room steward and dining staff. The two bartenders in the Crooners lounge must be mentioned. Ruben from the Philippines and his female co-bartender learned our names (and everyone else) on the first day and never forgot. They made everyone feel so welcome that their bar was packed every night.

The entertainment was so, so. Some acts were better than others but the worst was the pool band. Someone needs to tell the lead singer to find another profession – he cannot sing, to the point that people at the pool were laughing at him – even the staff. The first comedian was very good but the second one from Ireland sounded like he was reading two year old jokes from the Internet.

The food on the ship was very good but not the best that I have ever had. The dinners were fine but I cannot put my finger on what was missing. We had lobster twice but even it seemed somewhat bland. Again, it was good, just not great like our last sail on the Ruby Princess.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Two flat screen televisions, fridge, plenty of space, tub and shower, couch, etc. Plenty of room and storage space.
