We had a blast on this cruise with all of the staff. By far the staff made the trip!!! I have traveled the world and our room stewards were the best ever!!! I enjoyed seeing their smiling faces everyday.
The ship on the other hand needs some work. Our first night the toilet wouldn't flush and they asked me if it could wait until the morning to be fixed....ummmm no!!! The following day we could smell sewage thoughout our floor. Throughout the day you could smell urine in front of the Queen's Lounge. Most of the toilets there were out of service. I could smell why. They would clean the rug but the urine had to be leaking onto the carpet. It was disgusting. Our two days at sea they made an announcement that there had been a pipe that broke and they were shutting off the water to the ship. It was Gala night and I had just had a massage so my hair was all greasy but that wasn't that big of a deal. After two hours I started purchasing water in case we had a real problem. After 2 1/2 hours the water resumed. Thank God!!!
We had issues at the pool with elderly people saying children were not allowed. There is a sign clearly stating children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. They would make rude comments how they own the pool and our children should get out. It's spring break for goodness sake. Security would be called, and I'm sure they were napping so they could work dinner service. They were so sweet but they had to show up because they were called. Our children weren't doing anything wrong. They would make the older guests feel better and then leave and be called again in 10 min. I have sailed with Holland America before and never had these issues. Thank goodness for the staff or it would have been hell.
Loved our room and stewards
People were rude only wanted money.
