First of all this was our first ever cruise experience and we really had no idea if it was for us or not so have absolutely nothing to compare it to. It was also our very first holiday without the kids so 10 days just the two of us could have went one of two ways!

I'm not writing this from prison so it must have turned out ok! LOL

I soon found Cruise Critic and quickly joined the roll call after booking and could not have asked for a better bunch of people to help with the planning of our first cruise.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BF

Balcony cabin was more than adequate for the two of us. However if there was a third person I fear that his would be too much of a squeeze in all honesty. The separate shower and toilet was not an issue for us to be honest. Extremely comfortable bed.

The balcony was uncovered which took away the privacy but we didn't use it enough for it to be a huge issue.

The room is directly above Bliss nightclub so if you are an early to bed kind of person I would avoid the forward rooms on Deck 8

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We stayed in Barcelona the night before we set sail and the night we debarked. We did La Sagrada Familia and the Hop on Hop Off sightseeing bus the day we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We booked a tour with Barcelona Day Tours for our debarkation day to Montserrat and a Cava Winery and it was a fantastic day!

Tenerife

We went into the town by ourselves, but of all the Ports this was the most disappointing for us. There was very little to do or see and we only walked around for an hour or two before coming back to the ship.

Madeira (Funchal)

Fantastic!

Malaga

Las Palmas (Gran Canaria)
