My main frustration was the fact that we do our own tipping . However on board we could not cancel so they took the money out and gave us a form to claim it back . I'm assuming this is in the hope people don't bother . On the form it says it takes two weeks for them to pay into my account . 7 weeks later almost and u am still waiting ( it's about $570 us ) not bad interest as I know others with the same issue . I have sent about 5 emails which the first one was replied as a very sorry we will get on to it immediately . STILL waiting .
The epic was actually a beautifully finished ship although I thought the lay out was poor . Not enough large public areas , to much going on in atrium , theatre to small for 4000 people, casino like a giant hallway that allowed smoking. Entertainment ( shows ) were first class , the rest was ok at best . Movie set up was ridiculous either in a public walkway ( the atrium) or outside in daylight on deck 25 ( freezing and couldn't hear ) but in the epic theatre first class .
Didn't like booking for shows and long waits for bar service , the staff were great but not enough I them, I suspect it's purely cost cutting which might be something the cruise lines are doing more of . Front desk efficient but not that helpful mainly because they are subject to Miami rules that cannot under any circumstances be varied even if it is stupid .
