Everything was absolutely wonderful on the Adventure of the Seas. This was our third cruise in a year, the first being on the Norwegian Gem to the Bahamas out of New York and the second on Adventure's sister ship, the Explorer, to Bermuda from Bayonne.
My husband and I (both 61) flew into San Juan the morning of the cruise (March 8) on Continental from Newark, however, our luggage did not. It was a little stressful not knowing if our luggage would make it to the ship before we sailed but luckily it did. There was a very long line at the ship terminal when we arrived. Fortunately, we were told that since we didn't have luggage we could get on a shorter line that went quickly. Once inside the terminal, we got on the Crown & Anchor line and went right up to the check in desk, got our Sea Pass and pictures and boarded the ship. We chose to have lunch in the Cafe on the Promenade rather than the Windjammer Buffet (not a big fan of the buffet).
The staff on Adventure couldn't have been nicer and we felt so pampered. Our cabin steward Michael was great and our waiter Tyrone was the absolute best. We prefer to dine in the dining room at a table for two and although I had requested a table for two back in July we were assigned to a table for six. I happened to notice that they now have a "My Time Dining" program and was told all we had to do was to commit to it for the week and we could have a table for two and make a reservation for whatever time we chose to dine. This was perfect for us and it worked out so well. Each night as we left the dining room we made our reservation for the following night. It is a new program and understand it has been very successful.
Very quiet. Shower a little tight. Vibration while ship underway.
