This was our 20th cruise on CCL. The Breeze was definately my favorite ship. I loved the layout & use of deck space. We sailed March 6th. We were happy to hear there were only 580 children under 18 on board.
The food was good. We never went hungry. We are not fans of the American Table menu. We miss the traditional menu & hope they go back to the previous menu. We did notice more people dressed for formal night. That was nice. I did not see people wearing shorts in the dining room as in the past.
Embarkation was a "breeze" since we are platinum members. I was very surprised we boarded so late. It was around 12:15. Typically we are on board around 11.
We gave up our balcony for a cloud 9 spa ocean view accessible room. The room came available 25 days prior to sailing. It was huge! We normally get a balcony & have not had a window cabin since 1998. This was an exceptional room. The cloud 9 perks are nothing to brag about. We used the facility probably 3 times. There are too many other things to do than the spa.
We arrived 2 days prior to sailing. We rented a car & drove to Key West. What a beautiful drive! This was our 1st time driving to the keys. Typically while in Miami we stay around downtown or South Beach/Lincoln Road.
4th time on the Cool Runnings catamaran> Great time as usual & Beach Mama is still rocking the boat!
We walked down the street & went to Eden Rock. We rented snorkel gear for $14 pp & snorkeled for a few hours. This was our 2nd time @ Eden Rock. The water was amazing. We saw so much sea life including Nurse sharks. I can't begin to describe in detail how wonderful the day was here!
This was the worst day! I won 2 all inclusive tickes ($82 each) on board. We had to purchase one more. The last time we were @ Chankanaab was about 10 years ago. This place is too commercialized. We will not go back. The staff were rude, they accussed me of giving my drinks to other people. They served their drinks in 6oz cups. Seriously??? The buffett looked like the buffett food in the movie "Vegas Vacation". Slop! Never again! There are too many wonderful places to visit in Cozumel. This was not one of them!
