I have cruised approximately 50 times. On small ships and very big ships such as the Oasis...In fact I have cruised frequently on NCL and we are "Platinum" members as of this last cruise...Frankly, that is what I want it to be...my last cruise on NCL...
They called us several days before the cruise telling us to get there early because there was going to be heavy traffic...there wasn't and when we got to the terminal we were pushed about and I have MS and there was no place for me to sit or anything...
When we did get on the ship we were able to go directly to the cabin...My cabin was 9102 at the very front of the ship...no one told me what kind of a walk it would be from the elevator...and we were at the opposite end of the ship for the dining areas...the gym was so small I couldn't get in it, but no worries there as I got in over 3 miles a day just walking from place to place on the ship...
The cabin was large for my Granddaughter and me. Plenty of storage areas. Clean and comfy bed and pillows...My room steward was a doll...
But the noise at night was just awful and I take sleeping medication! Forget that...and when I went to report it the woman at the desk made a comment that they couldn't move us to another room with noise concerns...which makes me think that they knew all along that this room and noise concerns and other people I spoke to in this area of the ship all complained of noises issues...
As I said before I have MS and this was the 2nd most stressed out cruise I have ever went on...
We went shopping...not a lot of stores yet and expensive stores are there
Unless you are going to Atlantis you are taking your life in your hands in the Bahamas...
Too many reports of crime...you have to go on a certified tour...very expensive...
We went on the sky ride...If we had booked it at the sky ride it would have been $4 cheaper.
There is a bird show at the top and a restaurant and you do get a view of the ships in port...
We live in Florida...Bayside is a shopping area tourists might like to see...
