We were very unhappy with the cruise this year. We booked a year in advance on the same cruise ship with the understanding that the cruise ship would be updated and we would see many changes. We got on the ship and it was exactly the same except the new booking area, which was redone. The ship's odor was overwhelming with the smell of urine. The beds were old and wore out. In the casino, the gambling tables, the electronic board wasn't working the entire cruise. The people on the ship were rude. We paid extra for anytime dining and when we were sat at a table the second night and a couple was sat after us making rude comments all night as though we took their reserved table that they had reserved for the remainder of the week. We paid extra for anytime dining so we would have the opportunity to dine any time of the day we chose. The highlight of the dining experience was a server that we had "Charlie Brown." There wasn't much to do on the ship. The activities were not planned out well. Certain days too many activities, other days hardly any activities. Activities were scheduled in areas on the ship that wouldn't allow many to participate. They continue porting at Martinique with hardly any excursions offered and little to do on the island. Feel the island taken advantage of as a tourist on the island by price gouging. We went into a restaurant and ordered a soda and was charged $12 for two. They had the doors opened for someone to enter but didn't serve food for another hour. Other cruisers were not able to buy items on the island because locals were not able to give back change. Signs showed a value of a US Dollar was a certain amount but when you went to pay, they overcharged. Cruising is overrated. Not enough to do on the ship unless you are a big drinker/partier.
