Having sailed twice on Brilliance of the Seas, which on both occasions were great cruises. Going on this we decided to cruise on Radiance of the Seas, yes, the ship is in need of some TLC as rust, frayed carpets and damaged furniture was evident however these problems did not detract from the overall experience we had, All the staff were keen and tried their hardest to make our trip a memory not to forget. The food in both the Windjammer and main dining room was up to the normal RCI standard and most times enjoyable. Like most things you cannot please everyone all the time so some meals were a little lacking. The only real issue we had was the cleanliness of Ritas Cantina (crab shack) where the tables were not clean and usually sticky and the floor have food scraps and spilt liquid left for many days and even a request to staff did not improve the situation (we just used a napkin as a tablecloth) As with shore excursions on most cruise lines these are greatly overpriced, so we do not book these and arrange our own. A little bit of homework can be done to find tours and greatly reduced prices before you leave home. The cabin was the standard design with not a lot of room but the cabin was in need of some very basic maintenance but again did not ruin our cruise. Activities were the run of the mill things however most of the main entertainment in the Aurora Theatre was to say the least outstanding. A good spread of artists etc. Overall would recommend Radiance to friends as the experience was a happy one

The experience was brilliant.
