Veteran middle aged (55)cruiser couple from the USA. Here is my quick rundown of the pro's and con's. Pro's: Great newer ship in excellent condition overall, staff worked tirelessly with good morale, things generally ran smoothly, clean, well maintained in all respects. Nice list of ports, especially if you like beaches and water activities. Food was consistently good, but somewhat repeating in the Buffet area, but good variety. Main dining room had a range of decent choices and good service. Somewhat scaled back on food from my last Celebrity trip about 5 years ago I would say. Entertainment was higher budget and very professional, although I will comment on the variety/appeal in the Con's.

The Con's: Its almost all Fixed table and time dining, almost no Anytime dining,(the travel agent will tell you to change to Select Dining when you get on the ship but there was a waiting list when we got on the ship) a big negative if you want to be flexible with your schedule on a long vacation, and if you want to meet a lot of people. Same people and time every nite...yawn. The Dress code is inconsistent and fairly childish, (just let people dress in there own unique style) This is a formal ship but its now dress down for formal nite, but dress up for casual nite. Basically, the same for every nite. I was either over or under dressed every nite, and was asked to change my outfit on a casual nite(extreme insult to say the least) as New dress shorts/Tommy Bahama outfit and shoes werent considered dressy enough on a casual nite. I won't book on Celebrity again if they stay with Fixed Dining and there childish dress codes baloney.

This is NOT a FUN ship, (more sleepy and sedated). For a 14 day cruise, they had Zero(0) comedians in the prime time hours, only a couple at the 11 pm show, if you can stay awake that late after going for 18 hours straight. This is a Senior(60+) cruise for the most part, with a large segment of the passengers from Canada and Europe etc, many non english speaking. As USA passenger, we felt like minorities on a US ported ship. If you are looking for fun people, excitement, romance, high energy, engaging people, stay away from this cruise...trust me.....very boring, detached, dull people for the most part. We spent more time interacting with the crew than we did the passengers. This is the first ship I ever thought several times of getting off early. Its a good thing for the 8 island days. Glad to get off back in Miami. I didnt even mention plumbing work outside our cabin in the middle of the nite, sea sickness, late nite party next door, and at least 3 nites lost sleep the first week.
