Workers deserve the credit for the success of the cruise due to high seas, rain, deck closings due to safety. ALL WORKERS were fantastic in manners in my company. Not a single complaint. They deserved their tips.
Ok- Carnival: problems with service/communication/facilities.
Deal breaker was the excursion times being bumped up with no notice. Prepaid excursions to Belize went from 7:30 debarkation to 6:30. My group accidentally overheard cruisers mention they passed the excursion desk and picked up excursion time sheets since a change was noted. I went to the desk, the worker politely said the cabin steward will bring this. He did not. If I would have missed the fantastic ziplining that I paid for months in advance, I would not have enjoyed myself nearly as much! Why wasn't every steward reminded? What if he put it in the open cubby and someone took it, it fell, etc. Why not make public announcements... those were made constantly even though you could only hear them in the hall. Why not CALL your room just in case? How about on the TV with all the advertisements? No effort was made to inform us that the excursions were bumped up. It was my bday, and that was my excursion choice. We made it by accident, not by Carnival notification.
Roomy. Clean. Shower did not drain.
So very expensive to park.
